R10 Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Guidance

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature as part of House Bill 3 to provide a realistic pathway for top teachers to earn six-figure salaries.

TIA also aims to help LEAs and Charters recruit, retain, and reward highly effective teachers at traditionally difficult-to-staff schools.

Teachers have an opportunity to gain additional compensation by earning one of the designations below for high performance.
