Training the Trainer Practicum

The Region 10 ESC National Board Professional Learning Facilitator (PLF) Program-Hybrid Model (Track 2) pairs the selected district PLF with an NBCT mentor for one year. During this one-year commitment, the PLF and NBCT mentor will guide district cohort candidates through the national board certification process. Monthly meetings between the PLF and NBCT mentor will allow the PLF to learn about the national board requirements and certification process, how to prepare for candidate cohort meetings, and how to effectively lead such meetings. After the one-year commitment between the participating district and Region 10 has ended, the PLF will then lead future cohorts. Upon successful completion of this program, the PLF will be designated as a “Region 10 Highly Qualified Professional Learning Facilitator.”
