"Libraries are a cornerstone of democracy—where information is free and equally available to everyone. People tend to take that for granted, and they don’t realize what is at stake when that is put at risk."
—Carla Hayden
The Library Services program provides leadership and support for library staff - both certified school librarians and library paraprofessionals - to meet district and campus instructional and programming goals. The key components of the package include face-to-face training, online support, nationally recognized speakers, program reviews, networking opportunities, and customized consultations. The package can benefit districts and public libraries that do not have library directors or lead librarians by assisting with tailored services for their diverse needs.

North Texas Teen Book Festival (NTTBF) Educator Day
Join amazing authors and guests who will share the best new books and practical but exciting ways to engage young readers from the upper elementary levels through high school. This session sponsored by faculty from Sam Houston State University College of Education Library Science features Jason Reynolds, R.L. Stine, A.S. King, Nic Stone, "That Librarian" Amanda Jones, and more than two dozen other MG and YA authors!
NTTBF Educator Day (8:00 am - 4:00 pm) will take place at the Irving Convention Center.
We ask that educators do not bring children to Educator Day as NTTBF provides a free, all-day festival on Saturday, March 1, for readers of all ages. (Parking is $15.00 - no cash accepted - both days at the Irving Convention Center.)
*This session is being facilitated by the North Texas Teen Book Festival team, and ESC Regions 10 and 11 are providing support and attendance confirmation.
