Non-Negotiable Conditions

Private, non-profit (PNP) schools who choose to participate in Title I, Part A services are required by law to:

1. have documented non-profit status 501(c)3.

2. prohibit discrimination...

• by race, color, or national origin
  (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964)
• by sex
  (Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972);
• on the basis of handicapping condition (Section 504, Rehabilitation Act of 1973); and
• on the basis of age (The Age Discrimination Act of 1975).
  

3. abide by ALL Private, Non-Profit compliance requirements described in Title I, Part A statute.
