Salary Negotiations uses the same Position and Assignment record structure as Employee Management but addresses two additional features. The first is creating multiple plan scenarios to compare the relative costs of required and proposed changes to Salary and Benefit amounts. Time Off in Skyward provides the ability to create and approve time off requests and generates pay appropriately—paid, unpaid or docks the employee depending on their time off balance. The Time Off Module also allows the district to allocate the proper amount of time off to each employee based on their anniversary date and/or an entered date.
-
The Time Off module interfaces with:
-
Positions – through the Position Type code to identify the Default Time Off Entitlement used for that specific position
-
Assignments – the Time Off Entitlement is declared for that assignment and determines the time off amount that will be allocated to that employee
-
Payroll – once time off requests are approved, these are brought into payroll via timesheets to process the correct payment.
-
Sub Tracking-Time Off transactions can be created during the 3rd party import process.
-
Length: 6 hours
Participants: The audience for this product includes the employee requesting time, the approvers, other individuals that enter or verify time off requests, the Human Resources employee or other staff member that allocates the time off, and the payroll staff who process the payments.
