Create a Winning Office Team
Sometimes you get lucky, the people you work with are just the kind of people you would want as friends. However, that is often not the case. Building an effective office team requires effort and a focus on the importance of the mission. Successful team members act professionally and communicate assertively. They actively resolve conflicts, forgive past mistakes and work together in part because they recognize it is in all of their self-interests to do so. This workshop will explore necessary skills, techniques, and strategies to build, and maintain a winning office team. How to refocus a team that has gone “Off track” will also be addressed.

Professional Networking Updates
Highly successful people are not successful because they know everything. Instead, because they have a quality network of individuals, they can draw on both techniques, knowledge, and advice using their experience to meet our new challenges. Why learn from your mistakes when you can avoid them by learning from the mistakes and successes of others. Creating an effective professional network takes planning and deliberate effort and is easier, but not automatic, in our social media interconnected world. Cultivating critical relationships goes beyond knowledge and networking. It provides the groundwork to help difficult situations go smoother.

Time Management Update:  Leveraging Traditional Strategies and New Technologies
Time management is an ongoing reflective process. People who manage time effectively are always asking essential questions such as:

  • Is this the best use of my time?
  • Is this the most effective way to get this task done?
  • Do I allow others to manage their time at my expense and can I do anything about it?
  • Do I leverage the technology that is at my disposal?
  • Do I plan successfully and address critical things that don’t have a deadline (Vital vs. Urgent)
  • How can I work more productively with my supervisor so we can both manage time more effectively?

This session will seek to answer these questions or point you in the direction of finding your own answers.
