For All School Board Members
After each session of the Texas Legislature, including regular and called sessions, each school board member shall receive legislative update training. The update session shall be of sufficient length to familiarize board members with major changes in the Texas Education Code and other relevant legal developments related to school governance.
The Region 10 ESC will provide several update trainings in various location across the region to allow trustees greater access to these trainings. Dates and locations for these sessions will be provided to the ISD superintendent and the administrative secretary. They will also be listed in the upcoming events bar along the right of this page.
A Legislative Update course will be available in the Region 10 online learning system after all live sessions have been completed. Board members unable to attend one of the in-person workshops will be able to meet the training requirement by taking this course.
