Mission
Provide high-quality professional learning and implementation support to district and campus leaders, mentors, and beginning teachers to create tailor-made, local programs that focus on improved outcomes.
Goals
Our program is designed to equip district and campus leaders with support to organize, create, and implement a sustainable program that develops mentor teacher leadership capacity and beginning teacher effectiveness to drive positive, achievable outcomes.
The Region 10 Mentor Teacher Program serves to meet the needs of the local learning communities to create a sustained culture of growth and development.
Our goal is to provide learning communities with professional learning, guidance and support as they build, create, and implement programs that focus on beginning teacher effectiveness and retention. Our work is built around the research based mentoring best practices outlined by the TEA Mentor Program Allotment. The following policies are explicitly followed Region 10:
