The Community Resource Database is a versatile and inclusive online database designed to empower families, schools, and community groups by providing easy access to a wealth of resources and information available. The Grant Halliburton Foundation

Grant Halliburton Foundation was established in 2006 in memory of Grant Halliburton, a Dallas teen who battled depression and bipolar disorder for several years before his suicide death at the age of 19. The Foundation that bears his name works to help families and young people recognize the signs of mental illness through a variety of avenues including mental health education, collaboration, encouragement, and information.

Texas School Mental Health Resources from TEA

The Texas School Mental Health website from the Texas Education Agency strives to provide districts and campuses with the resources and tools needed to develop a comprehensive school mental health system.

The Handle With Care Program

The Handle With Care Program employs a system of communication between law enforcement, schools, and mental health professionals to provide best-practice, trauma- and grief-informed care and mitigate negative effects of potentially traumatic events on children. This program is grounded in the fact that trauma- and grief-informed care is most successful if we can meet children where they are – in their schools and community – and provide timely and effective behavioral health interventions.

Specifically, the TxSSC serves as a clearinghouse for the dissemination of safety and security information through research, training, and technical assistance for K-12 schools and junior colleges throughout the state of Texas. In addition, the TxSSC also builds partnerships among youth, adults, schools, law enforcement officers, and community stakeholders to reduce the impact of tobacco on all Texans through prevention, training and enforcement initiatives.

North Texas Behavioral Health Authority

NTBHA seeks to develop a collaborative system of care for individuals experiencing mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Collaborative Responsibility is the belief that the public healthcare system, which serves a community, is the responsibility of that community. Collaborative Responsibility for NTBHA is based upon forming partnerships with all stakeholders in the delivery of mental health and substance use disorder services to enhance the health of the entire community.

Tiered Interventions Using Evidence-Based Research (TIER)

Tiered Interventions Using Evidence-Based Research, or TIER, is a project funded by the Texas Education Agency. Their goal is to provide educators, caregivers, and other educational stakeholders with the knowledge and materials to ensure appropriate implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) in every school across Texas.

TIER has developed a series of modules that focus on different components of MTSS, including mental and behavioral health pathways. For more information or to participate in a behavior or mental health pathway training, please contact Rebecca Russell, Region 10 TIER Network contact or visit the Online Courses page to see which trainings are available on TEALearn.
