The cost for Charter Schools/Districts/Private Schools who have not purchased the Region 10 Administrative Services Package and non-Region 10 participants is $1,250.00 per person.

Participants are current assistant principals and deans with administrative experience selected by the district superintendent or his/her designee

Region 10 Leadership Assistant Principal Leadership Academy is aligned with the principal standards  in the Commissioner’s rules Chapter 149. Also, the standards identified in §241.15 (relating to Standards Required for the Principal Certificate) emphasize instructional leadership; administration, supervision, and communication skills; curriculum and instruction management; performance evaluation; organization; and fiscal management.

Region 10 Assistant Principal Leadership Academy is designed to be delivered to cohorts of leaders in a face-to-face and virtual settings. The Academy will include a variety of teaching and learning formats: large group presentations, reflective writing, independent reading, process groups and team-building.

Region 10 Assistant Principal Leadership Academy is designed to provide high quality professional development to strengthen leadership and management skills to address critical leadership issues and to improve the academic achievement of all students.

Each participant commits to actively participating in the Leadership Academy and attending each required session. The total commitment is seven (7) days. The training sessions will be spread out over the entire school term and may be linked to national speakers. The program will begin each September. 

Region 10 Leadership Academy participants will receive credit for the hours they attend.  They will receive 7.5 continuing professional development hours for each full day attended. A certificate of completion will be issued for each attended event.

Region 10 Leadership Academy’s cost is communicated annually to district superintendents as part of the commitment process for the Package of Administrative Services.
