The College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) component of A-F Accountability measures graduates’ preparedness for college, the workforce, or the military. Students may demonstrate college, career, and military readiness in various ways according to Chapter 2 of the 2024 Accountability Manual. An overview is provided below:
College Ready
- Meet Texas Success Initiative (TSI) criteria in RLA and Mathematics (SAT/ACT/TSIA or college prep course)
- Earn Dual Course Credits
- Meet Criteria on AP/IB Examinations
- Earn an Associate Degree
- Complete an OnRamps Dual Enrollment Course
- Graduate Under an Advanced Diploma Plan and be Identified as a Current Special Education Student
Career and
Military Readiness
- Earn an Industry-Based Certification (IBC)
- Graduate with Completed Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Workforce Readiness
- Earn a Level I or Level II Certificate
- Enlist in the United States Armed Forces or Texas National Guard

We will discuss the nuances between CCMR in Domain 1 Student Achievement and Domain 3 Closing the Gaps, examining differences in methodology, cut points, performance targets, and more! Improving College & Career Readiness Through Instruction
Participants in this session will walk through instructional considerations for pathways that, according to CCMR accountability, lead to college readiness or career readiness. The first hour (9 to 10) will focus on career readiness: IBCs, programs of study, Level I/II certificates, and SpEd workforce readiness. The second hour (10 to 11) will focus on college readiness: Being TSI Met (TSIA2, SAT, ACT, & college prep courses), AP, IB, Dual Credit, associate's degree and OnRamps.
