Dr. Jana Melsheimer

Dr. Jana Melsheimer has dedicated her career to serving students and educators across North Texas.  As the Executive Director of Region 10 Education Service Center (ESC), she oversees services that impact over 900,000 students and 115,000 school staff in 130 ISDs, charters, and private schools across 10 counties surrounding Dallas.
 
Dr. Melsheimer joined the Region 10 team in January 2013 and served as the Deputy Executive Director since 2019. Before her tenure at Region 10, she dedicated 21 years to Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, where she held various positions ranging from Special Education Teacher to Director of Special Programs. This diverse experience has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the educational system from both classroom and administrative perspectives.
 
Dr. Melsheimer holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Tarleton State University, a Master of Education in Education Administration from Texas Woman’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of North Texas. 
 
Dr. Melsheimer and her husband have four children and 10 grandchildren.
