Educator Preparation Programs Application

The online application process includes the following 4 steps:


step 1  Complete the online application. Please use your personal e-mail address on your application.

 

                  Review specific requirements for each certification area that must be met for application.

 

                  E-mail addresses for references should reflect personal addresses if possible, as school or

                  business e-mails may be blocked.


step 2  Pay the $75 application fee (non-refundable). There is an additional $25 fee to evaluate a second certification area.


step 3  Complete the internet-based Haberman Star Teacher Pre-Screener. The results are reported

                 directly to Region 10 EPP. You will not have access to the score.

                 PrEP Educational Diagnostician and School Counselor applicants will not have the option to

                 complete the Haberman Star Teacher Pre-Screener.


step 4  Submit all required documents to:

             *Submit transcripts from ALL colleges attended.

 

                 *Submit your PACT (Pre-Admission Content Test) score report to:

Applications are not considered complete until all 4 steps are finished and all required documents have been received in the EPP office. A printable checklist will be provided at the end of the application listing all required forms and documents. Once the application is complete and your PACT score is received, you will receive an e-mail containing a link for a critical thinking assessment. The assessment will take you approximately 30 - 45 minutes to complete. Scores will be accessed by Region 10 EPP and considered as the screening committee begins reviewing your application information. This process is generally completed in 7-10 days. You will receive e-mail notification when this process is complete.

 

Please note:
Incomplete online applications will be "deactivated" (withdrawn) from the system after a period of eight weeks.

PrEP applicants are required to submit:

 

*Official transcripts for Bachelor's and Master's Degree

*Notarized Criminal Affidavit

*Three Professional References

*Three PDAS Evaluations (most recent)

*Copy of Service Record

*Copy of TEA Certificate

*Educational Diagnostician - Nomination Form signed by the Special Education Director

*School Counselor - Acknowledgment Form signed by a Director of Counseling or HR

*Alternative Certification Information (if applicable)
