"Technology integration is the use of technology resources -- computers, digital cameras, mobile devices like smartphones, iPads and other tablets, software applications, the Internet, etc. -- in daily classroom practices. When effectively integrated into the curriculum, technology tools can extend learning in powerful ways. Students are more actively engaged in projects when technology integration is a seamless part of the learning process." ~Eduphoria~
In the constantly changing education environment teachers must learn new ways to meet the needs of the 21st-century learner. Properly used, technology will help students acquire the skills they need to survive in a complex, highly technological knowledge-based economy.
Technology is rapidly evolving and calls for an on-going learning process. Region 10 supports this process by providing quality professional development based on best practices and current research.
