In the constantly changing education environment teachers must learn new ways to meet the needs of the 21st-century learner. Properly used, technology will help students acquire the skills they need to survive in a complex, highly technological knowledge-based economy.

Online Training
The new Technology Applications TEKS are now effective for the 2012-2013 school year. Available through Region 10 ESC are online professional development courses designed to introduce the classroom teacher to the new elementary and middle school TA TEKS, as well as strategies for integrating these skills into the core content areas. Participants will walk away with a wealth of resources, digital tools, and strategies for creating meaningful learning experiences to increase student learning.
